Week 2

Identify the Project

This week, I am focusing on the process of brainstorming inspirations and themes for my big project. I had so many ideas and it was a little overwhelming.

Let's create a brainstorm together!

To create your brainstorm board you will need:

• Sharpie
• Post-It Notes

I found I had to reorder rearrange my ideas, themes, and inspirations several times. Also, knowing that I had to have 10 themes and 10 inspirations inhibited my flow. The size of my poster board may also have created a restriction because it was not large enough.

Here is what my brainstorm initially looked like:

Ultimately, the linear act of making a list helped me to logically organize them all. This is my first page (12 pages total) from my list version of my brainstorm:

During my process I was able to identify and pin-point several inspirations. Here are just two examples I found on one of my favorite inspiration sources - Pinterest.

The first is an app called Silk Interactive Generative App.
