Short Version

Julie Davis is an American painter, multi-media artist, and graphic designer based in Zionsville, Indiana. Through her mediums, she creates vibrant, visceral works that invoke states of being, including self-reflection, joy, healing, gratitude, and connection.

Artist’s Statement

“There is an overwhelming need for light and healing in the world today. I can't ignore the voice within that keeps reminding me to ‘be the change you wish to see.’ The creative process allows me to heal and overcome challenges/trauma. Art is also how I share my humanity, purpose, and connection to others and the world around me. Art reminds me that I have the power within to choose, to create, to feel the way I want to, and to impact others in a positive way, despite what others say and do! The creative process is a powerful process.

In my work, I use water-based media, acrylics, enamel, ink, crayons, and pencils, etc. Through these mediums, I aim to inspire self-reflection, joy, healing, gratitude, and connection. By balancing the artist's hand with playful design elements, my work is intentional, feminine, visceral and sensual.”
